《生化危机3》是 1999 年发售的《生化危机3:复仇女神》的重制版,更新了故事情节与游戏玩法以贴合现代玩家的口味。与《生化危机2》重制版一样,本作采用与《生化危机4》及之后作品类似的过肩式第三人称视角。玩家大部分时间将扮演吉尔·瓦伦丁(Jill Valentine),但在某些场合也会切换到卡洛斯·奥利维拉(Carlos Oliveira)的视角,让这位次要主角获得更多的戏份。
